Cathy's Corner

Spring Greetings!

It's been too long since I've gotten info to Chuck for a web-site update. I just don't know where the time goes!!

There is road construction – right now, US 52 is open past the shop. You do not have to take 9 to 40 to 3 to get here if you are coming from Greenfield or farther West. However, they are going to start moving light poles along US 52 the first of May. I have no idea how that is going to affect traffic here. If US 52 is closed in front of the shop, you can take 100 W (Seven Hills Road) south to first street. Turn left and follow to Hannah and turn left again. If you come in on SR 44 from the West, you can make a hard left just past the trailer court onto old 44 or First Street. Hannah is the first street to the right which brings you to the shop. If you are coming from the East, you can come 1st or 3rd street. Second street is closed. I hope this all makes sense! This road construction is a 2 year project. I will try to keep you informed as to how you can get here! Check the map on this page to see what is closed. You can also call us for the latest info.

We are starting classes again! Debbie Eggert who was part owner of Sew Much More is going to start teaching here in June!!! Check out the class list!. She is also going to do Wednesday Sewcial the first and third Wednesdays of the month. Join us for a day of sewing and fun with others who share the love of sewing. Bring a project, sewing machine and lunch. Debbie will be here to answer questions or help with any sewing challenge. This is free and she will be here from 10 – 3, but you can stay until 5 pm. This will start on June 4 with a meet and greet. Debbie will share some of her sewing, quilting and machine embroidery tips.

Spring has sprung and so has the road construction in Rushville. US Highway 52 (2nd Street) is closed west bound from Main Street to Cerro Gordo – the old Chrysler dealership on the curve. To get to In Stitches coming from the East, you can go north on Main to 3rd Street and follow it out or take 1st Street to Hannah and go north to 52. This is going to be a 2 year construction project. Next year 52 will be closed in front of us. Those coming from the West (Indianapolis) there is no problem this year in getting here. Please see the map below or download a copy to print.
